They say there’s more to summer than festivals but I’m not too sure… Kicking off at @glastofest last week we move on to @nibley_festival this Saturday 2nd July (Main Stage at 1pm), followed by @the7hillsfest at @americanmuseumandgardens in Bath on Sunday 3rd July (Lawn Stage at 3.15pm). Looking forward to taking the songs from my new record out for a spin, joined by my band The Crown Electric. And that’s it for another year. A big thank you to @mattowensmusic who invited us to play and to everyone at the Love Fields who looked after us. As we played on a stage overlooking the entire site as the sun was setting over the Somerset hills it was hard not to be distracted and overwhelmed by the beauty of it all. An absolute restoration for the soul and reaffirmation that there is more good people in the world than not. 200,000 living organisms from all walks of life who share a similar sense of community, unity and spirit. A brief and blissful escape from the reality of the charlatans who run the nuthouse. A beautiful week spent with beautiful people. And finally, real royalty really did reign over us on Saturday night. All hail King Macca, the world will be a greyer place when he is gone. Until next time..
