Alex will release his new single ‘Hurricane’ tomorrow (Friday 27th March 2020) on A Recordings.
“The new version of Hurricane is how I actually heard the song when I first wrote it. I had this upbeat, 12-string Byrds/Big Star sound in my head. It wasn’t until I slowed it down and lowered the key at a gig, almost by accident, that I decided to record that version on my last album. I wanted this big Clarence Clemons/Bobby Keys-style tenor sax solo during the instrumental. The new reworked version completely changes the feel of the whole song.”
Available digitally worldwide on all major download & streaming platforms.
‘Everyday’, the new single from Alex Lipinski, will be released on A Recordings on 7th February 2020. The song, which also features Alex’s brother Adam Lipinski, is a cover of the 1958 Buddy Holly classic.
Alex says “We decided to record a version of the song after a perfect accident at a soundcheck. Announcing the single on 3rd February 2020, the 61st anniversary of Buddy Holly’s passing, we thought a fitting tribute to celebrate his music”
Alex’s new single ‘Hurricane’ is out now on all available digital platforms. The single includes the B-Side ‘I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry’, a version of the Hank Williams classic Alex recorded with his brother Adam.
